Happy Turkey Day

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! I enjoyed my break so much and it was so needed. Ever since we have had 6 a.m. lifts, I have been exhausted. My sleep schedule has been so messed up. I went to bed probably half of the week at 9 p.m. and let me tell you, it was great. I recovered on sleep, ate as many homemade meals as possible and watch my little niece a lot.

On Wednesday during the day, I went over to my Nana's house and helped bake pies and other side dishes. My Nana has always made pies from scratch and put in fresh fruit from my cousin. It so much fun to get to know how to make pies from scratch and help her. We had a little problems with the pie crust, it just kept on cracking and braking which isn't good. At the end we kind of gave up because we were four hours into making pies and we only had three pies to make.

The week was fun and refreshing. Thanksgiving was very yummy, and I loved the homemade food that I ate. I don't know about everyone else on campus, but I am very tired of eating college food. I needed some good home cooked meals and getting everything paid for. We love our parents.

For thanksgiving we had it at my Nana's house. We haven't had a Thanksgiving there in forever, but she got new flooring and wanted to show it off! We had all the basic foods such as turkey, ham, stuffing, corn pudding, mashed potatoes and it was delicious. We spent the night laughing with family I haven't seen since I left school and it was good to just be with family, catch up on the family, and just relax for a week.

On Saturday, it was a big day for OSU fans and college football in general. Ohio State against Michigan was on Saturday and it was a good game till the 4th quarter. Michigan sadly blew us out. All Ohio State fans are very sad still and it was a fun but depressing day.
Throughout the rest of the week, I watched my favorite niece, Saylor. Here four little teeth are coming in and shes starting to standup on her own. Walking will be coming soon, and she will be a handful. But she so cute and very active and I can't wait to see her more during the winter break!

Until next week,

Lauren
