Happy Halloween!
Some people love it, but some people hate it, I's one of the people who love it. Halloween or any little holiday that isn't really celebrated, I love! Halloween is a fun time to dress up as your favorite character, a role model, something, or someone to scary or make someone laugh. It brings the creativity out of everyone and plus you can't forget about the candy! This Halloween was a little different. As you all know I now have my own house this year with my three other roommates. So, on Thursday of last week we all sat out on our porch, played Halloween music to get everyone into the spirit or spookiness of Halloween and passed out candy. I was the only one in our house to dress up, it is just the little kid in me. I dressed up as Mulan everyone had a laugh and said I was so creative with my costume. I was sad because only one kid asked if I was Mulan. Everyone else probably thought I looked crazy. But the night was still fun and a Halloween I will never forget with my friends one go around.
During the trick or treating night my roommates and I were singing the classic Halloween songs like "Monster Mash" and "Ghostbusters". The little kids in all the costumes were adorable and some of the kids my roommate was teaching at Ada came and saw her which was a cool experience! We passed out all of our candy and my softball coach came over with her kids which were so cute with their costumes. I love how close we can be with our coach and her kids.Another Halloween activity was the softball annual Halloween party. It also so fun because all my teammates go all out for this party. This year was the best year yet, some girls painted themselves yellow and were the Simpson family. Others were the whole cast of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mr. 305, or the stages of my coaches life, which was my house. There is always a winner for each category, most creative, funniest, and best dressed. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory won best dressed, my house won most creative, and The Simpsons won funniest. We always carve pumpkins based on our theme of this season. This year the winner was chemistry. We need good chemistry as a team to play to gather and hopefully at the end win the OACs again. Third times the charm right!
Halloween has always been a favorite of mine. You can dress up as whoever you want and everyone loves it! I remember one year at my house when I was little, me and my dad made a haunted house in our basement. It was so fun, one of the best Halloweens I ever had!
I hope everyone had a spooky Halloween!
Until the next holiday,
Lauren
Lauren! I love that you had a fabulous Halloween. The costumes are on point! I do have to agree with you; I also love Halloween. I think it's so fun that everyone gets to dress up and have fun on one specific day. I love reading your blogs like always, can't wait to hear more about your life.
