This pasted weekend we had our annual alumni softball game. Usually, it is during Homecoming weekend, but our assistant coach is due this Friday! It is always so fun to see past players you have played with and went through all the up and downs with. It was especially fun to see them because they played, we played with them for three years and we are the closet with them. We had won two OAC championships with them and they will be the friends we played with in college forever.
It was weird to think about this past weekend because it is going to be the last time, I am on the player side of the alumni game. After this year Spring softball season is over, I will be on the alumni side of the annual alumni softball game. I will always be a bear by heart, but I will be a different kind of bear, and alumni bear.
But, with this weekend all the senior softball players stayed for the day and hangout with all the girls. It was the first time all the seniors' parents came together and hung-out outside of softball. It was the best weekend I have had in a while. We all tailgated, watched the football game, played some games, and ended the night with some pizza and a fire on probably the perfect Saturday Ada has had in a while.
It was defiantly a memory I will never forget, no worries in the world my best-friends and their parents all hanging together having a great time where we all might our freshman year. Nothing can get better than that.
