This class has been very inspirational class for me. It has made me realize that I like social media and the content and information that comes with it. It has made me even get a minor in Social Media, which I am excited to pursue.
The book that went along with this class was very easy to read and it fit in nice with the world problems today. It had a Covid-19 section for every social media platform, which is a great way to keep people in social media and marketing updated. It also had detailed descriptions on what each social media platform brought to the table, the ranking of the actual app, how to navigate through the app, and ways that it was beneficial for businesses.
The booked talk about when it was best beneficial to post on what days and what times. This will help businesses and people that have their own private page to get the best end result out of that specific platform. The book also talks about what platforms are the most popular right now and what type of audiences that those platforms target. This can also be helpful when keeping up with social media for a business because it helps you pick what platforms will be the most beneficial to you and your company.
The book doesn't just give advice on when and who to target when posting on certain platforms, but it also gives advice on what to post and different ads or ways to post on their platform. This gives businesses and the social media side of the business a great advantage by having a guide to help them make business profiles on the socials they chose.
Social Media is becoming an even bigger deal especially because of the world we are in today. If people get a grasp on how social media works and how it can change the game in the professional industry, it will be an even bigger deal than it is now.

Until next time,

Hey Lauren! I as well had a realization of how much I enjoyed social media. Not just the posting, but all of the work that goes into it. I agree, the book did a great job outlining all important factors, including the added COVID-19 sections, which I thought was great to show how the pandemic can impact media.
ReplyDeleteLauren, I’m going to miss your blog posts so much! I always love hearing about what you’re going to write about next, the suspense truly kills me!! However, I realize now that without the blog, this will provide you with more time to relax and hang out with your three beautiful roommates :)
