Wedding Season

Yes, I did go to another wedding this weekend! Unlike the last wedding I went too, this was for a family member, my cousin to be exact. I was so excited for this wedding, but it is not like I'm not excited for every wedding I go to, but most of my family was there so I had lots of people to dance and talk with!

The ceremony was beautiful and so cute and fall-like. The little church the wedding ceremony was at was cute with bricks walls and a stunning alter. The bride and groom had the classic, traditional wedding song to walk down the aisle too. Up by the alter there were white, light blue, and light green pumpkins with beautiful white and blue flowers surrounding them. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous light blue dresses to make the brides sequenced, ballgown standout. The men of course wore handsome grey suits with light blue ties to tie it all together.

The actual ceremony was short and sweet like most wedding are these days, and it was special because a handful of family members have gotten married by the priest that officiated this weekend's wedding. After the ceremony, the bridal party and family got pictures of course and the rest of the party drove to where the reception was taking place.

The reception area was gorgeous, it was a older theatre with a bog stage where the bridal party sat and seats all around the big floor where the guest all sat. Around all the guest tables were the seats for the theatre with the VIP areas on both side of the stage where the bride and groom showed for the first time as a married couple.

The night went on and the food was amazing, with so many options and my favorite the mashed potato martinis. The mashed potatoes were my favorite part besides the dancing! There were so many good songs that played  throughout the night and I think me and my mom closed the dance floor down!

It was good to be home again besides fall break and to celebrate family! I think another wedding in my family might be happening soon! My fingers are crossed that a special event takes place this week! I keep you guys updated on the next family wedding!

Until next wedding,

Lauren

  1. I love weddings! I have a wedding this weekend, but I can't go due to being here. Family weddings are always so fun because it is an excuse to see everyone. Weddings in my family are huge just because there are so many of us. I like the idea of a big wedding and celebrating with those you love. Can't wait to hear about you next wedding journey!

  2. I honestly haven't been to many weddings so to read about your experiences have me excited to go to one. A more family oriented wedding is going to my speed, I am not one to socialize. And I have never heard of a mashed potato martini so I will have to look that up. However I am glad you enjoyed your time and look forward to hearing more about your next adventure.
