My Dream Job

I always feel like weddings are a hated event or a loved one. Most people either hate the fact that weddings even exist and think they are phony, or they cry every-time they go to one because it is just so special.

To me, weddings are a passion area. I love to go to a wedding and just take in the purity of the ceremony or the first dance of the newly wedded couple. Or how the father cries, when he and his daughter have their special dance. Every moment of a wedding is special, it seems that every person who is involved in the event is special as well. But, to me the best part about a wedding is not just celebrating the happy couple and their life to come, but the fact that everyone in that moment is not worrying about anything else but couple's big day.

This past weekend, Labor Day weekend, I want to my brother's best-friend's wedding. I had the honor of being invited since him and my brother grew up together. The wedding was absolutely gorgeous, it was outside with the wind blowing perfectly. They had a white, wooden wedding arch with mauve, tan, and green accents throughout the wedding. It was a smaller wedding, but it still had all the major aspects a wedding should.

I have never really known what I wanted to do in my future. With the wedding that I went to this past weekend, I finally realized I wanted to plan and coordinate weddings as my future career. I want to make every couple's special day to be as worry free as I can make it, and I want to be able to experience couples true love and make their day feel like it's a dream.

Ever since I was in my sisters and cousin's weddings, I have loved being in and apart of the wedding scene. The atmosphere of the big day is so refreshing and just brings joy to everyone there. The smiles, cheers, and happy tears that come throughout the day are so special and unique to each family and newlywed on their day.

Besides the most important part of the wedding, the ceremony, the dancing is my favorite part. It is when everyone comes together to have fun, smile, and dance to celebrate the future of the new couple. Also, who doesn't love the killer dance moves everyone brings to the table.

Weddings can be stressful, but if you have someone who really enjoy's making people happy as much as I do, on such a big day, I want to make it happen. So,

in the future if you remember me, maybe make a call?

Until next time,

Lauren

  1. Hi Lauren! I agree, weddings are so special and I think that every aspect of them is beautiful. I have been to a lot of weddings and love the concept that everyone is there to celebrate two people who are truly happy together. Additionally, going to weddings, I love being able to celebrate with new people I might meet there but also with others that I might not be able to see as much.

  2. I absolutely love weddings, and I wish I got to go more often. I’m the oldest child in my family, and my cousins are much older than me, so not many people in my life are getting married anytime soon or are already married. I also love that you are the kind of person that wants to be involved in making people’s wedding day special. You definitely would be in their lives forever, and would help them make their first memory as a married couple!

  3. Hi Lauren! A friend of mine actually took on an internship this summer with a wedding planning company in Texas. She would post all of her experiences on Instagram and it was so interesting to me to see what went on behind the scenes. I believe that weddings are absolutely beautiful and I'm so glad you've found your passion to pursue!
