Can Businesses Use Snapchat to Market?

 In my Social Media class, we talked about marketing strategies on social media. Social Media Marketing Strategies are tactics to make sure that the company you are working for gets to their goals in the social media department. 

With every social media marketing strategy there needs to be a set plan. The first step and most important step is to identify who the personas are of the company. A persona is a representation of a customers targeted market based on data collected from existing customers. Many times, companies have more than just one persona they are trying to target with their social media accounts. In order to identify and create personas for a company, the company needs to collect data about their demographics and pick top targeted audience that will benefit the most in the end based on their end goal. 

Demographics are a big part of helping to identify the right personas because they are your loyal and targeted consumers for a reason. Demographics with finding personas because it is scientific data that is real. Demographics help pinpoint what age group, gender, even region would be best for your product to sell.

Personas should be loyal customers that you know will buy your product based on and activity of a subculture that relates to them. A business that has a couple personas in mind are good off in their company because they can target certain audiences on a different social media platform. It is always good to have more than one social media account for a company, but a balance on all the platforms is needed as well. Most companies have one main social media account that has the most activity, followers, and engagements. This platform has the biggest targeted persona or personas and will help their company grow. 

The other social media accounts do help the company as well but it isn't the most active social media account for the company. Companies target audiences who have a purpose to use their product or that makes it easier for them to do what they love to do better. Also, with social media platforms for companies and a good customer base on these platforms, allows for companies to get feedback right away good or bad. It also allows for companies to let their loyal customers know that they are being heard. That's why in most cases companies reply back too or comment on customers post about their product or service. That's why having social media platforms and specific customers to target is very important. 

Most companies should have a social media platform, even if the company is just starting off. Now a days social media is becoming bigger and bigger. Information that is posted on social media also allows the information to get out to customers fast, which will help your business in the end. Social media marketing strategy is a great way to start a social media account off strong for anyone's business.
